Our strategy is to deploy innovative approaches to developing new drugs, principally through two research and development programs that explore the very building blocks of new treatments - the molecules and compounds that may one day form the basis of more effective ways to mitigate serious illnesses and save lives.
There is a compelling need to develop these therapies. Millions of people die or suffer disability every year from infectious diseases, cancer and inflammatory or autoimmune diseases. This has a terrible cost on humanity - from the individual lives lost, to bereaved families, to careers cut short, to tremendous economic impacts and stretched healthcare systems.
